Ara: Headmasters of  every school in Bhojpur district will have to submit details of expenditure of funds received from the government under different schemes and if any anomaly is detected, FIR will be lodged against them. An audit team from Patna is likely to reach here in a day or two for the purpose.

District Programme Officer ( DPO), Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Sultan Ahmad, said that tgovernment has launched a number of schemes for the students to improve the quality of education and ensuring their attendance at schools and has allotted  fund for the purpose. The fund was later given to the schools.

The DPO said that the Vidyalay Shiksha Samiti takes decision about spending the fund and  the officials concerned attest the expenditure of fund. All the papers have to be kept safe and all income and expenditure have to be  entered into the cash and ledger books and the Headmasters of the respective school are responsible to maintain them. Even the Block Education Officers have to supervise and check the documents. But, the DPO said, complaints poured in that the Headmasters of the schools hardly maintain documents and papers related to expenditure of fund and in some cases even embezzled them. He said the Headmasters have to produce all the documents, papers, cash books, ledger books, utilization certificates before the audit team and if any anomaly is detected, FIR will be lodged against the Headmaster concerned.
