Patna : Over a dozen districts in Bihar have been affected by floods . In Katihar, a double storey school building was swept away by Ganga at Khatti Kishanpur village under Amdavad block. School building was vacated last week following threats of erosion by  swollen Ganga. The administration evacuated 200 families from the villages.
Following heavy rains in Nepal, Ganga, Ghaghra and Kosi rivers are in spate and adjoining districts of Purnia,Araria,Kishanganj are also affected by floods. Supaul, Madhepura and Saharsa districts also face floods and over 1,000 families have taken shelter on the embankments. In Patna too, Ganga was rising fast and movement of boats have been restricted from Gandhi Ghat and Kali Ghat,where Ganga water touched the temples on the banks of the river.
