SBPDCL to use insulated electric wire in Bhojpur

Ara : With a view to ensuring continuous power supply to the consumers, the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) has planned to use  insulated electric wire in Bhojpur district and the Bajaj East India Ugyog Limited Company (BEIULC) has been assigned the task to run covered insulated electric wire on electric poles at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore.

Executive Engineer, SBPDCL, Sanjay Kumar Bario said that in the first phase the BEIULC would place insulated electric wires in 11 localities said to be business hub  such as Chaukhambha Gali, Milki Mohalla, Moti Tola, Khetari Mohalla, Ramgarhia, Kazi Tola, Sheesh Mahal Chowk, Aranya Devi, Meera Chak, Bhaluhipur and Badi Chowk at Ara. The  company has completed the survey work and the work will start from May 22, 2017. He said that the company is conducting survey in Shahpur, Bihia, Jagdishpur, Koelwar and Piro blocks too for running the insulated electric wire.

The Executive Engineer  said that the consumers complain about frequent tripping, electrocution, long power cut, snapping of electric wire and power theft and added once power supply starts through insulated electric wire, all these problems will be almost over.
