Muzaffarpur : Chaiti Chhath was observed by a large number of people at different places in Muzaffarpur district. It concluded on April 3, 2017, with the morning Arghya to rising Sun God. Eighteen prisoners of Muzaffarpur Central Jail including 14 female inmates too observed Chhath. The jail administration had provided them with the Chhath Puja materials. An artificial ghat was also constructed inside jail to facilitate prisoners observe Chhath. The ghat was well decorated. Jail Superintendent Satyendra Kumar and Jailor Madhubala Kumari were also present when the 18 prisoners were offering Arghya to Sun God.
