Patna : Saurashtra were all out for 425 in 171.5 overs in their first innings in the Ranji Trophy Finals against Bengal in the first session of play on Day 3 on March 11, 2020, adding 41 runs to their overnight score of 384/8. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja remained unbeaten on 33 with 5 fours while captain Jaydev Unadkat scored 20 hitting 3 fours.

Bengal medium fast bowler Akash Deep, 23,  took 4/98 in 36 overs while spinner Shahbaz Ahmed, 25,  took 3/103 in 46.5 overs. Fast medium bowler Mukesh Kumar,26,  took 2/103 in 44 overs while Ishan Porel, 21, also a fast medium bowler, took 1/51 in 26 overs.  

At lunch, Bengal were reeling at 35/2 in their first innings after 14.5 overs with captain Abimanyu Easwaran (9) and his opening partner Sudip Kumar Gharami (26) back to pavilion. Bengal trail by 390 runs.
