Kumar Rajiv Nayan
Sasaram : Fast Track Court I, Sasaram, Judge Jagdish Kumar Mishra on July 27, 2018, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment three persons : Dinanath Singh, Basawan Ahir, and Vijay Giri of village Sarana Mathia under Dinara police station in Rohtas district killing Shivpujan Giri of the same village on December 6, 1991.
The accused had purchased a goat from Shivpujan Giri at Rs 200 but they did not pay the amount despite repeated request. On December 6, 1991, Shivpujan Giri brought the matter before the panchayat of the village. This infuriated the accused and they entered the house of Shivpujan Giri the same night and shot him dead. Later, a named FIR was lodged with Dinara police station against Dinanath Singh, Basawan Ahir, and Vijay Giri on the statement of the deceased’s wife Kalawati Devi.
After hearing both the parties, the FTC I Judge Jagdish Kumar Mishra awarded rigorous life imprisonment to all the three named accused in the case.
