Chhapra: Saran DM Deepak Anand on Sunday claimed that the situation had returned to normal in Saran and the people were moving on the roads and communication restored. The DM said that shops have opened in Chhapra, the headquarters of Saran district. The Saran DM said that that police patrolling was on round the clock in all the sensitive areas.
ADG, Law and Order, Alok Raj, IG (Operations) Kundan Krishnan, Zonal IG Sunil Kumar, Saran Commissioner Narmadeshwar Lal, range DIG Ajit Kumar Rai, Saran DM Deepak Anand and SP Pankaj Kumar were moving in different areas to restore peace in the wake of clashes in Maker, Karimchak and Chhapra town after an objectionable video went viral recently. Para-miltary forces are staging flag march in Chhapra town. SP Rai said that so far 25 persons had been arrested in connection with clashes in different areas while two prsons were arrested earlier for allegedly making the controversial video viral. The DM appealed the people not to be misled by rumours.
