SAP Jawan shot dead near Hajipur Jail

Hajipur : A Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) Jawan Dipnarain Rai, 55, was shot dead by unidentified criminals near Hajipur Jail in Vaishali district aound 8.45 am on December 11, 2017, when he was going to the jail on duty.

The SDPO, Vaishali, said that Dipnarain Rai was going to take up duty in Hajipur jail on his bike when the unidentified criminals shot him dead. Police remain clueless about the identity of the assailants as even Dipnarain’s family members have not named anyone in this connection, the SDPO said adding police were looking into the CCTV footage to identify the criminals. Dipnarain Rai was a resident of Dighilal Pokhar area located near the jail, the SDPO said.
