New Delhi : The second pahse of Gujarat Assembly elections to 93 seats would be held on December 14, 2017, from 8 am to 5 pm at 25,558 polling stations. The first phase of elections to 89 seats out of 182 assembly seats was held on December 9 The Election Commission of India (ECI) had announced the schedule of Assembly Elections in Gujarat on October 25, 2017. As per information provided by the Chief Electoral Officer, Gujarat, there are NO Recognized State Parties.

Among the Assembly Constituencies (ACs) by area, the smallest is Dariapur (6 Sq.Km.) and the largest one is Radhanpur (2,544 Sq.Km.). By size of the Electorate, the smallest is Limkheda AC with 1,87,245 electors and the largest being Ghatlodia AC with 3,52,316 electors, according to a PIB release. Altogether 28,114 EVMs would be used in the second phase of polls on December 14. Only two candidates are in the fray in Jhalod (ST) constituency while 34 candidates are in the ring for Mahesana seat.

The BJP is contesting all the 93 seats going to polls in the second phase while Congress is contesting 91 seats. The Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded its candidates in 75 of these 93 constituencies while the NCP has put up its candiadtes in 28 constituencies and Shivsena in 17. The JD(U) is contesting 14 of these 93 seats.
