Patna : Sanjay Kumar, a 1990 batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary, Tourism, Bihar Government, holding additional charge of Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, and State Advisory Committee, was on August 31, 2020, late evening, appointed Principal Secretary, Education Department.
He has replaced R K Mahajan, a 1987 batch IAS officer, who retired on August 31, 2020, and was appointed Chairman, BPSC, the same day. Sanjay Kumar, who was Principal Secretary, Health Department, till recently, will continue to hold additional charge of Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, and State Advisory Committee.
Ravi Manubhai Parmar, a 1992 batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary, Art, Culture & Youth Affair, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Tourism Department.
Arun Kumar Singh, a 1985 batch IAS officer and Development Commissioner, Bihar, has been given additional charge of Vigilance Department. He is also holding additional charge of DG, Bihar Public Administration and Rural Development Institute, Patna. The General Administration Department issued a notification to this effect on August 31, 2020.
