Patna : Kento Momota (1,08,800 points), Japan, Shi Yuqi (88,232 points), China, and Viktor Axelsen (79,264 points) , remain World No 1, 2 & 3 in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on May 7, 2019, but Kidambi Srikanth, India, has slipped one place to be ranked World No 9 with 63,140 points.

Sameer Verma, India, has jumped two places to be ranked World No 13 with 54,941 points.  H S Prannoy, India, has jumped 3 places to be ranked World No 23 with 42,420 points after reaching QFs of New Zealand Open last week. B Sai Praneeth,India, remains World No 20 with 45,677 points. Parupalli Kashyap, India, also stays as World No 39 with 34,850 points but Subhankar Dey, India, has slipped one place to be ranked World No 42 with 32,100 points.

Ajay Jayaram, India, has slipped 4 places to be ranked World No 51 with 28,920 points. Lakshya Sen, India, has also slipped 4 places to be ranked World No 75 with 21,788 points. Mithun Manjunath, India, has jumped 2 places to be ranked World No 76 with 21,310 points. Harsheel Dani, India, has slipped one place and is World No 88 with 18,250 points.
