Patna : Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif  starrer ‘ Tiger Zinda Hai’, a sequel to their 2012 hit film  ‘ Ek Tha Tiger’, has collected Rs 291 crore in its first weeks and is likely to Rs 300 crore mark in its third week.

Directed by Ali Abbas Jafar, ‘ Tiger Zinda Hai’ is a spy thriller based on abduction of Indian nurses abroad in 2014 and is full of breathtaking stunt scenes. Salman and Katrina are back together in a film after five years. The film was made at a budget of Rs 150 crore including print and publicity cost.

The film had grossed Rs 206 crore in its first week and Rs 85 crore in the second week. It was released on December 22, 2017. Salman’s two earlier films : Bajrangi Bhaijan and Sultan, had also raked in over Rs 300 crore though his last film ‘ Tubelight’ had flopped. His ‘ Jai Ho’ had also not done well.
