Patna : World No 10 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Saina Nehwal, 28, India, entered the pre-quartersfinals of BWF World Championship 2018 at Nanjing, China, on July 31, 2018, beating Aliye Demirbag, 20, Turkey, in the second round.
Saina, who won the Commonweath Games Gold Medal in 2018 at Gold Coast, Australia, defeated World No 72 Demirbag 21-17, 21-8 in 38 minute. Saina had received bye in the first round. She will meet World No 4 Ratchanok Intanon, Thailand, in the pre-quartersfinals
