Saharsa woman missing after Pahalgam mishap, hubby-son injured

Saharsa : Vijay Chaurasia and his son Rajat Charasia alias Anshu Kumar of Simribakhtiarpur main market in Saharsa district were seriously injured while his wife Chaya Devi is missing when the bus carrying them and other Amarnath pilgrims to Pahalgam from Jammu overturned between Ramsu and Banihaal in J&K on July 16, 2017. Pahalgam is in Anantnag district in Kashmir. Chandanwari, 16 km from Pahalgam, is the starting point for Amarnath Yatra.

Sixteen passengers died while 27 others were injured in the mishap, said Rahul Charasia, elder son of Vijay Charasia quoting his brother Rajat. He said that police were searching for his mother Chaya Devi. Vijay Charasia, his wife Chaya Devi and son Rajat had left for Jammu on July 14 by train from Khagaria.
