Sahara SDO withholds salary of 440 teachers for boycotting evaluation work

Saharsa : SDO, Saharsa, Saurabh Jorwal, on the directive of Chairman, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), on April 12, 2017, ordered for withholding the salary of 440 teachers with immediate effect  for not evaluating the answer-books of Matriculation and Intermediate Examination of BSEB. Jorwal on April 12 visited the office of District Education Officer (DEO), Saharsa, in this connection.

Jorwal has asked the teachers concerned to show cause as to why their boycott of evaluation work should not be treated as break in service. The district administration has initiated steps to depute other teachers for evaluation work and several of them have already joined at the evaluation centre. Evaluation work will start at two more centres from April 13. FIRs would be lodged against teachers creating obstruction in evaluation work.
