Sadar Hospital, Ara, doctor lodges FIR against 4 JAP leaders

Ara : Dr Kumar Jitendra, an orthopaedic surgeon posted at Sadar Hospital, Ara, on December 20, 2018, lodged a named FIR against four leaders of the Jan Adhikar Party (L) : Bhojpur district president Brajesh Kumar Singh, State Spokesperson Baban Yadav, Youth Brigade president Raghupati Yadav, his brother Hari Om Yadav and seven unnamed persons with Town police station, Ara, for allegedly demanding of extortion amount and threatening him with dire consequences.

Dr Kumar Jitendra alleged that he was going on duty to the Sadar Hospital on December 13, 2018, evening, when some persons at the gate of the Ara Sadar Hospital scuffled with him and threatened him with dire consequences after kidnapping him and also force closure of clinic of his wife at the Shaheed Bhawan roundabout if he failed to give them Rs 15 lakh.

The JAP activists too had filed an FIR against Dr Kumar Jitendra and 30 others with Town police station on December 15, 2018, for allegedly attacking them when they were on fast unto death against his rude conduct on Sadar Hospital campus and also threatening them with dire consequences if they did not call off their agitation.

The Block Development Officer (BDO), Ara, Manish Kumar had also lodged an FIR with the police Ara Town Police Station against 26 persons including six named on December 13, 2018.

It may be mentioned here that Dr Kumar Jitendra had operated upon one Manju Devi and fixed a steel rod in her leg but the steel rod came out of the leg after two months. Though other doctors of the hospital rectified the fault but dereliction on part of Dr Kumar Jitendra triggered public ire.
