Sacred thread ceremony of 118 children performed at Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : Sacred thread ceremony of 118 children from 18 districts of North Bihar got underway on April 30, 2017, at Malighat Durga Mandir, BMP 6, Muzaffarpur.

The mass sacred thread ceremony of children from Sanatan Samaj has been organised by Chanakya Vidyapati Society and is being referred to as Sanskar Mahotsav. Cultural programmes have also been organised to mark the occasion. The chairperson of Chanakya Vidyapti Society Shambhunath Chaubey, Devesh Chandra Thakur, MLC, Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation ward councillor Vijay Kumar Jha were prominent among those attending the function on April 30 and blessing the children. Altogether 51 priests are conducting the mass sacred thread ceremony.
