Sabalenka stuns Simona in WTA Adelaide International, to face Dayana Yastremska in SFs

Patna : World No 12 Aryna Sabalenka, 21, Belarus, upset World No 4 and reigning Wimbledon Champion Simona Halep, 28, Romania, in the quarter-finals of WTA Adelaide International at Adelaide, Australia, on January 16, 2020.

Sixth seed Sabalenka stunned 2nd seed Simona Halep in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 to enter the semi-finals of the tournament. Sabalenka fired 5 Aces in the match to none by Simona. She won 6 break points in the match to 3 by the Romanian. Sabalenka won 7 games in a row in the match to 2 by Simona.
