Patna : South Africa (SA) beat Sri Lanka (SL) by 9 wickets in the rain marred 2nd T20I at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka, on September 12, 2021, night, to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. SA spinner Tabraiz Shamsi was named Player of the Match.
Set a target of 104 runs, SA scored 105/1 in 14.1 overs with opener Quinton de Kock scoring an unbeaten 58 in 48 balls with 7 fours while Aiden Markram remained unbeaten on 21 in 19 balls with 3 fours. Opener Reeza Hendricks fell to spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for 18 runs.
