Patna : South Africa (SA) beat Australia by 6 wickets in 2nd ODI at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein, SA, on March 4, 2020, late night, as opener Janneman Malan, 23, scored an unbeaten 129 in 139 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes, his first ODI ton,  and all-rounder David Millr scoring an unbeaten 37 in 29 balls with 3 fours. Heinrich Klaasen, who had scored an unbeaten 123 in 1st ODI, scored 51 in 52 balls with 3 fours and a six. SA have now taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series sealing the series. SA have won 10 of their last 11 ODI against Australia. Australia had won the three-match T20I series 2-1.

Chasing a target of 272 runs, SA scored 274/4 in 48.3 overs. Malan and Miller added 90 runs in their unbroken partnership for the 5th wicket. Earlier, Malan and Heinrich Klaasen had added 81 runs for the 4th wicket. Malan and Jon Jon Smuts had added 91 runs for the 2nd wicket after Quinton de Kock ( c & wk) fell to fast bowler Mitchell Starc for a duck making it 1/1.

SA fast bowler Lungisani Ngidi, 23, and batsman Janneman Malan were declared Player of The Match.
