Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur district administration on June 1, 2017, announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of dreaded gangster Anjani Thakur. Announcing this at a presser, Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said that Anjani Thakur had killed Pinto Thakur and Atul Shahi in broad daylight using AK 47 during past few months.

The  SSP said that although police were conducting raids to arrest Anjani Thakur yet any person giving information about his whereabouts would be given a reward of Rs 50,000 and his identity would be kept a secret.

Meanwhile, police on May 31, 2017, night arrested four criminals including notorious Dharmendra Singh alias Jugnu Singh from Ahiyapur Chowk area in a raid. Police also seized three pistols, a countrymade pistol, 25 live rounds, a car, foreign liquor and Ganja from their possession, SSP Vivek Kumar said. The other three arrested criminals were identified as Santosh Kumar Singh, Nitin Kumar and Sonu Kumar. All the four were arrested while planning a crime, the SSP said.
