Bagaha : Rajesh Ram, MLC, a resident of Naraipur under Pathakauli Police Outpost (OP) in Bagaha police district, on September 11, 2018, lodged an FIR with Pathakauli OP alleging that someone had fraudulently drawn Rs 38,999  from his saving account in SBI, Vidhan Sabha Branch, Patna, on September 10, 2018. Pathakauli OP falls under Bagaha Police station.

Ram, in his FIR, has mentioned that he received a call from mobile no.91- 8757130332 on his mobile no.9934498904 on September 10, 2018. The caller said, “I am R K Sharma speaking from counter no.6 of SBI branch of Vidhan  Sabha, Patna. Your account needs your ATM number verification for updating your account as your ATM card has become old and will be closed. Now you will get new ATM card, Pass-book, and Cheque-book. After verification of your ATM number, a new ATM card, Pass- book and Cheque- book will be issued to you by the bank within three day,” the MLC said in his FIR.

The MLC told the caller two OTP numbers. After sometime, a message was displayed on the MLC’s Mobile phone number that Rs 20,000 and Rs 18,999 had been drawn from his account. The MLC was shocked and lodged an FIR with police for recovery of the amount.
