Rs 2.27 cr deposited into Saran farmer’s bank account after demonetisation

Chhapra : A small farmer of village Newari under Taraiya block in Saran December 26 Vikas Singh was stunned about a week back when he was told by SBI, Taraiya branch, staff that Rs 2.27 crore had been deposited into his bank account after demonetisation on November 8, 2016, hence he can’t draw money from the bank as his account had been freezed. The bank also took his bank pass-book and asked him to come after a week as the same would be verified. Vikas had gone to bank to draw Rs 500. The branch manager said he did not know anything about. Vikas said that there was only Rs 17,000 in his account. His annual income is only Rs 60,000.
