Bagaha : Altogether 334 passengers were arrested for travelling without ticket or carrying goods illegally during a ticket checking drive launched under Samastipur Division of East Central Railways (ECR), Hajipur, on September 29, 2018. Fiftysix luggage were also seized from Express and Passenger trains running from Muzaffarpur to Valmikinagar road station during the drive.
Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) Rabindra Kumar Jain said at Bagaha railway station that a railways team comprising 22 members was constituted for the undertaking the drive and Rs 1,01,298 was realised as a fine from the defaulting passengers after which the arrested passengers were released. The ACM further said that in view of rush of passengers at Bagaha railway station, the number of ticket booking windows will be increased.
