Buxar : RPF, Buxar, arrested a railway ticket broker from Simari in Buxar District in South Bihar on February 22, 2021, and recovered five e-tickets, a mobile phone, one laptop, and Rs 7,220 cash from his possession. The arrested persons was identified as Santosh Kumar Yadav of Rajpur under Simari police station (PS).
RPF Inspector Shyam Bihari said that senior officers had tipped off that Santosh Kumar Yadav of Rajpur under Simari PS in Buxar District dealt in fake railway e-tickets and realised exorbitant amount from the passengers in the name of Basudha Centre. The RPF immediately swung into action and conducted raid at Basudha Centre and arrested Santosh Kumar Yadav. Police also recovered 5 e-tickets, one mobile phone, one laptop, and Rs 7,220 cash and some papers from his possession.
The RPF Inspector said that a number of e-tickets were found in the mobile and added that Santosh Kumar Yadav charged Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 per ticket.
