Sasaram : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Ganua under Darihat police station in Rohtas district on March 2, 2017, evening and destroyed an illegal liquor manufacturing factory. Police also seized 1,300 pouches of countrymade liquor, punching machine, stickers and other instrument used for brewing liquor though the manufacturers managed to escape.
SDPO, Sasaram, Md Anwar said that the liquor was manufactured two days ago to be sold during Holi. Earlier, he said, police had seized 3,860 pouches of liquor and 84 bottles of IMFL from Bazirganj locality under Sasaram Muffassil police station and seized a truck, 10 motorcycles, two bicycles and arrested a liquor mafia on February 26, 2017. He said in view of Holi festival, liquor is being stocked and smuggled.
