Bokaro (Jharkhand) : With a view to making students aware of importance of Road safety, a workshop was conducted by the Traffic ( Police) Bokaro on DPS Bokaro campus recently.

Madan Mohan Prasad Sinha, Deputy Superintendent of Police  (Traffic) along with his team members educated the students on Road Safety including Speed limits, avoiding use of Mobile phone while driving besides Triple riding risks and why wearing a helmet is mandatory. He also stressed on mandatory use of safety belts while traveling in the car and strict prohibition of alcohol while driving.  During the programme, DSP Sinha also demonstrated various traffic symbols and gave other necessary tips to the students.

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, in his message, said that the school is very particular about students safety and stressed on the need of holding such awareness programmes to make the students alert about a secured and safe life. During the programme, the students were informed about the emergency helpline numbers as well.
