Patna : Former Union Minister Premchand Gupta and Amrendra Dhari Singh, a businessman from Patna District,  will be the RJD nominees for the Rajya Sabha (RS) polls scheduled for March 26, 2020.

This was announced here on March 12, 2020, by State RJD President and former Minister Jagdanand Singh. The RJD rejected Congress’ demand for one Rajya Sabha seat.  Both the RJD candidates will file their nominations on March 12 itself.

The NDA announced the names of its three RS candidates on March 11, 2020. The BJP has made former MLC Vivek Thakur, son of former Union Minister and top physician Dr C P Thakur, its nominee for the RS Polls while JD(U) has re-nominated Harivansh, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, and former Minister Ram Nath Thakur, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur.
