Patna: Even as the Grand Alliance government led by CM Nitish Kumar is struggling to salvage its image after release of Siwan strongman Mohd. Sahabuddin on bail granted by Patna High Court recently, Kunal Pratap, son of RJD MLA from Obra in Aurangabad district Birendra Kumar Singh, stabbed a youth Pintoo Kumar near Bhakharua Mor under Daudnagar police station in the district on Friday night for overtaking his four-wheeler.
The RJD MLA acted swiftly and handed over his son to the local police and he was sent to jail. Though the Obra MLA acted wise in handing over his son to police, it reminded the people of Aurangabad of Gaya incident where Rocky Raj, son of JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi, had gunned down a youth when he overtook his vehicle. An injured Pintoo, a native of Daudnagar, was first admitted to local government hospital at Daudnagar where the doctors referred him to another hospital in view of his critical condition.
The incident took place when Pintoo was on way to his village Bhagwanbigha on his motorcycle. But, he dared to overtake the four-wheeler on which Kunal was travelling. Pintoo was chased and caught allegedly by Kunal, who along with his associate, stabbed him several times and sped away from there. Daudnagar SDPO Sanjay Kumar said that the local police were investigating the incident.
