RJD MLA arrested at Ara trying to stage gherao of Bhojpur DM office

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested RJD MLA from Barhara in Bhojpur district Saroj Yadav along with several others when they had gone to stage gherao of the office of Bhojpur DM in the afternoon on November 6, 2017, to press their his 14 point demand including Indira Awas.

Saroj Yadav, MLA, along with his hundreds of supporters had locked the block offices at Koelwar and Ara earlier earlier for the same cause and had announced to gherao the office of the Bhojpur DM on November 6. As per his programme, Saroj Yadav along with his supporters garlanded the bust of Jai Prakash Narayan at collectorate pond and reached  the gate of the DM’s office in a procession.

Bhojpur district administration had already made elaborate security arrangements in view of the MLA’s announcement and had deployed heavy police force under SDO Arun Kumar, SDPO Sanjay Kumar, at the collectorate and also promulgated section 144 CrPC in the 500 metre radius  of the area. As the MLA along with his supporters reached there, Ara Sadar SDO, on the direction of Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar arrested Saroj Yadav and a number of his supporters. The RJD workers have the arrest of Saroj Yadav as undemocratic allegedly taken at the behest of the ruling party.
