Riya jumps 12 places in BWF rankings

Patna : Riya Mookerjee, 20, India, has jumped 12 places to be ranked World No 80 with 20,910 points in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on April 2, 2019. Ria is fast rising shuttler and had reached QFs of Swiss Open in March 2019. She had also entered 2nd round of India Open 2019 in the last week of March.

Sai Uttejitha Rao Chukk, India, has also jumped three places to be ranked World No 85 with 19,660 points. Mugdha Agrey, India, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 70 with 22,970 points.

The top 10 players remain unchanged.Tai Tzu Ying, Taiwan, continues as World No 1 with 95, 667 points. P V Sindhu, India, is World No 6 with 78,020 points while Saina Nehwal, India, who did not play in the India Open last week, is World No 9 with 69,254 points. Rituparna Das, India, remains World No 56 with 26,530 points.
