Ara : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team arrested a Revenue Department employee of Jagdishpur block in Bhojpur district Ram Layak Singh on August 18, 2017, from the premises of Bank of Baroda, Jagdishpur branch, red handed while accepting Rs 6,000 as bribe from avillager.

Ram Layak Singh had been was demanding Rs 10,000 from a person for the last nine months for ‘dhakil-kharij’ (Mutation). The man lodged complaint with the Vigilance Bureau in this connection. The Vigilance Bureau after verifying the allegation laid a trap to arrest Ram Layak Singh. On August 18, the complainant went to meet Ram Layak Singh with Rs 6,000 on the premises of Bank of Baroda. The Vigilance team arrested Revenue Department employee Singh red handed accepting Rs 6,000 from the complainant. The arrested Revenue employee was taken to Patna by the Vigilance team.
