Saharsa : Police and Excise department sleuths on August 17, 2017, seized huge quantity of foreign liquor during raids conducted at three different places in Saharsa district. Police arrested four liquor smugglers and seized an Scorpio during the raids.
A Sadar Police station, Saharsa, team led by SHO Bhai Bharat first conducted raid at Batraha colony and seized 228 bottles of foreign liquor from a house and also arrested three smugglers. On the revelation of arrested smugglers, police conducted raid at Kayastha colony and seized 28 bottles foreign liquor from ahouse besides arresting a smuggler. Police also seized an Scorpio from there.
The Excise department sleuths, according to Excise Superintendent, Saharsa, Rajnish Mishra, conducted raid at the Guard Room of a closed Godown at village Patuaha and seized 55 cartons of foreign liquor hidden in straw heap.
