Patna : Bihar Governor on March 9, 2019, appointed retired bureaucrat Shashi Shekhar Sharma and retired District & Sessions Judge Ujjwal Kumar Dubey as Members of Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC). The State Home Department issued a notification to this effect on March 9.
The Governor has appointed them as Members of BHRC in exercise of powers conferred by Section 22 (1) of Protection of Human Rights Act 1993 and Protection of Human Rights ( Amendment) Act 2006 by warrant under his hand and seal.
Shashi Shekhar Sharma, a Bihar cadre 1985 batch IAS officer, retired from service in August 2018. He had served as Development Commissioner.
