Bhabhua : Some unidentified armed persons shot dead a retired armyman Uday Narayan Yadav, 60, in the late evening on July 25, 2017. Police recovered the body from a field about 500 metre away from Durgawati police station in Kaimur district and brought it to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem on July 26.
Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. A named FIR was lodged with Durgawali police station against Arvind Yadav alias Babloo Yadav, Manoj Yadav, Buchchi Yadav, Lal Ji Yadav, Paras Yadav, Dinesh Yadav and Umesh Yadav of village Dahala on the statement of deceased’s son Ramakant Singh Yadav.
SHO, Durgawali police station, Anil Kumar Pandey, said that the named accused had asked a retired army man Uday Narayan Yadav of village Dahala village to vacate his house and also tried to plough his field forcibly and when he objected it they had threatened him with dire consequences. On July 25, Uday Narayan went to his field in the morning but did not return and his body was recovered on July 26.
