Ara : Hundreds of residents of Chandawa and Housing Colony blocked the Ara-Buxar main road near Chandawa tri-junction on October 6, 2019, for about four hours, paralysed movement vehicles, burnt tyres on road, and raised slogans against the officials of Bhojpur district administration and Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) to potest waterlogging in their areas for the last 15 days.

The Protesters said that Chandawa and Housing localities under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District, remains waterlogged for the last 15 days forcing them to stay indoors since as the officials of Bhojpur district and AMC are taking no interest to drain out the accumulated water. They said now the foul smell is emitting from the water making things miserable for them. That apart, they are living under constant fear of venomous reptiles, the protesters said.
