Republic day celebrated with gaiety in W Champaran

Bagaha:Republic day was celebrated in West Champaran with a gaiety. DM, West Champaran, Lokesh Kumar Singh unfurled the national flag at Bettiah stadium and highlighted development works in the district. SP Vinay Kumar hoisted natiomal flag at policeline, Bettiah.

At Bagaha, the main 0function was organized at Kutchery ground, where national flag was hoisted by SDM Dharmendar Kumar. Various tableaux were taken out mostly in support of prohibition. Two dependants of freedom fighters were felicitated on the occasion. The SDM asked the citizens of Bagaha to support efforts aimed at making the country strong and enumerated benefits of prohibition the dream of Mahatma Gandhi. Bagaha SP Shankar Jha hoisted national flag at BK chaudhary playground and took salute from policemen and school students.

The state government departments employees and private schools besides Tirupati sugars Ltd too celebrated the Republic day. A cricket fancy match was also organised between the local administration and public and mediapersons at sub-divisional playground. The mediamen won the match by six wickets. Bagaha SDM Dharmendar  Kumar and SP Shankar Jha and other officials also participated in flag hoisting ceremony in many Dalit colonies.
