Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)  by 10 runs in the 35th match of IPL-12 on April 19, 2019, night, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Andre Russels’ 25 ball 65 ( run out) with 2 fours and 9 sixes notwithstanding. It was RCB’s 2nd victory in 9 matches in IPL-12. KKR won the toss but opted to bat. Batting first, RCB scored 213/4 in 20 overs with captain Virat Kohli scoring 100 in 58 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes and Moeen Ali scoring 66 in28 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes.

Chasing a target of 214, KKR scored 203/5 in 20 overs with Andre Russel scoring 65 and Nitish Rana scoring an unbeaten 85 in 46 balls hitting 9 fours and 5 sixes. KKR had lost their first wicket at 6, second wicket at 24,  3rd at 33, and the 4th at 79. Thereafter, Andre Russel and Nitish Rana went berserk and took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners. For RCB, Dale Steyn took 2/40 in 4 overs.
