The SDM, Bagaha, in view of the poor shape of the bridge, had dshed off a letter on June 16, 2017,  to the Executive Engineer (EE), Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation, Bettiah, for immediate repair and maintenence of the bridge. But, the EE informed the SDM that the bridge had  been transferred to Public Works Department (PWD). But, the EE, PWD, Bettiah, on July 17, 2017, in a communication to the SDM, Bagaha, denied it. The SDM on July 24 informed DM, West Champaran, Lokesh Kumar Singh, about it.
