Patna : Governor cum- cum-Chancellor Ram Nath Kovind on April 29, 2017, appointed Vice-Chancellors for three universities of Bihar including Patna University (PU) and Pro VCs for eight universities of the state.
The Governor -cum-Chancellor appointed Prof Rash Bihari Prasad Singh as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) and Prof Dolly Sinha as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Patna University (PU). Prof Rash Bihari Prasad Singh is a former VC of Nalanda Open University (NOU), Patna. He is also a former Principal of Patna College, PU. Prof Dolly Sinha is a former Principal of Magadh Mahila College, PU.
Prof Ravindra Kumar Sinha, an acknowleged expert on Dolphin, has been appointed as VC of NOU. Prof Sarvanarayan Jha has been made VC of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University (KSDSU), Darbhanga, while Prof Chandreshwar Prasad Singh has been appointed its new Pro VC.
Prof Karyanand Paswan has been appointed Pro VC of Magadh University (MU), Bodhgaya, while Prof Ram Yatan Prasad has been appointed Pro VC of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur.
Prof Raj Kumar Mandal has been made Pro VC of B R Ambedkar Bihar University BRABU), Muzaffarpur, while Dr Jai Gopal has been appointed Pro VC of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga. Prof Saiyyad Mohammad Rafiq Azam has been made Pro VC of MMH Arabi and Persian University, Patna, while Dr Madan Mohan Goel has been appointed Pro VC of Veer Keer Singh University (VKSU), Ara.
