New Delhi : At a ceremony held at 10.45 am on October 3, 2018, at the Durbar Hall, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, 63, was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India. He took and subscribed to the oath of office before the President of India Ram Nath Kovind, according to a PIB release. Justice Gogoi is the 46th Chief Justice of India, the first from the North-Eastern states.
