Ramnagar CDPO suspended

Bagaha: West Champaran DM Lokesh Kumar Singh on Monday sent a letter to the Principal secretary, social welfare department, informing him about the uspension of Child development project officer (CDPO), Ramnagar, Pratima Verma, and subsequently suspended her jeep driver Suresh Prasad Singh and a clerical staff Brajmohan Mishra too.  The DM, in his communication to the principal secretary, said that the driver and the clerk had been caught red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2,000 from each Anganwadi centre in the name of the CDPO by a district raid squad recently. .SDM Bagaha Dharmendar Kumar  had verified the matter and found the charge true in his inquiry report. The SDM, in his report, informed the DM that both the driver and clerk had been extorting Rs 2,000 from each Aanganwdi centre.
