Saharsa : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on April 25, 2017, warned the naxalites of a befitting reply by the Indian Army if they do not refrain from their cowardice act of ambushing  para-military forces. Strongly condemning the killing of 26 CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh by naxalites on April 24, 2o17, when they were supervising road construction work, the Union Home minister said the naxalites lack courage to make a frontal attack on police and para-military forces.

Rajnath was addressing Vir Kuer Singh Vijayotsav programme at Patel Maidan, Saharsa, after unveiling a Rs 18 lakh statue of Vir Kuer Singh at Vir Kuer Singh Chowk. He said that the government would never stop development works including construction of roads and school building and would rather hit back at naxalites.

In the NDA regime, India had emerged as one of the most powerful countries in the world and referred to army’s surgical strike in Pakistan in this context and said India was strong enough to attack any country if it dares cast its evil eyes on India, Rajnath thundered at the Patel Maidan but added hat India would never be the first to attack any country.

The Home Minister said that NDA government had celebrated birthdays of  several freedom fighters during last three years. He said that Vir Kuer Singh had sacrificed his life for the country. The organiser of the two programmes and BJP MLA Niraj Kumar Babloo and his wife and LJP MLC Nutan welcomed Rajnath Singh. Niraj Kumar Babloo is the chairperson of Vir Kuer Singh Jagran Manch.

Rajnath Singh said that PM Narendra Modi had to take many tough decisions including demonetisation and surgical strike in Pakistan during last three years in the interest of the country. He thanked Bihar for supporting demonetisation. He said that the annual income of the farmers would double by 2022 due to pro-farmers’ policies of Narendra Modi government.

Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Prem Kumar, Bihar BJP president Nityanand Rai, MP, Leader of Opposition in Bihar legislative council Sushil Kumar Modi and BJP spokesperson Shahnawaj Hussain, LJP MPs: Chirag Paswan and Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Qaiser, BJP Rajya Sabha member Gopal Narayan Singh, former MLAs Kishore Kumar Munna, Sanjiv Kumar Jha, Alok Ranjan and Surendra Yadav  were also present on the occasion.
