Sasaram : The sleuths of Excise Department along with Rohtas police conducted raids in Ramhi Tola Shivpur, Dibara and Askami temple locality under Bikramganj police station in last 24 hours and arrested six liquor smugglers and seized a Duster car along with huge quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL).

Excise Commissioner Mahesh Dutt Mishra on April 25, 2017, said that in a joint operation six liquor smugglers including Ganga Ram and Ashutosh Kumar of Ranchi, Jharkhand, Sagar Saurabh of Chatra, Jharkhand, Rajendra Prasad, Dilip Kumar and Indal Singh of Bikramganj in Rohtas district, were arrested and forwarded to jail.

In another incident, Rohtas police conducted raids at two different places under Nasariganj police station area on April 24 evening and seized half a dozen bottles of countrymade liquor. Police also arrested two liquor smugglers: Umashankar Singh of Sukahara Dehri and Krishna Singh of Bigaha villages under Nasariganj police station and forwarded them to jail.

SHO, Nasariganj police station, Samrat Singh said that police also arrested Sonu Darzi, Ram Pravesh Sharma and Mantu Kumar Sharma from Sukahara Dehri village under Nasariganj police station on April 25 in connection with thrashing of a government associated with implementation of the ODF drive and forwarded to jail.
