Biharsharif ( Nalanda) : Five bike borne armed criminals shot dead a Rajaswa ( Revenu) Karmchari posted at Circle office, Bind, in Nalanda district Chandra Bhushan Prasad, 52, at 4.15 pm on June 12, 2017, when he was returning home from Tajnipur panchayat after work in a bus. The five criminals entered the bus when it stopped at Mahaddipur and shot dead Chandra Bhushan Prasad. Nalanda is the home district of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.
Nalanda SP Kumar Ashish, who visited the place of occurrence soon after the incident, said the five criminals had reached the place of occurrence on two bikes and were apparently waiting for the bus to reach there. As soon as the bus stopped there, they entered the bus and fired on Chandra Bhushan Prasad who died on the spot. The criminals escaped on the two bikes. Since no CCTV is installed in the area, police are yet to identify the criminals or get the registration numbers of the two bikes.
The SP suspects that the incident could be related to a mutation case in which Chandra Bhushan Prasad, a native of Rajgir in Nalanda district, had got a forgery case lodged against a man in March 2017, who is still in jail.
