Railways to run spl train from Sultanganj to Deoghar during Shrawani Mela

Banka : As the countdown for Shrawani mela begins, the eastern railways has planned to run a special train each day from Sultanganj to Deoghar from July 20. The train, after reaching Deoghar, would return to Sultanganj the same day. The objective behind running a special train is to facilitate commutation of pilgrims coming to Sultanganj in large number and going to Deoghar and back.

As per the schedule of the special train, it would start at 11 am from Sultanganj in Bhagalpur district and reach Banka at 12 noon and finally to Deoghar at 2.30 pm. The return journey would commence at 3.30 pm from Deoghar and reach Sultanganj through a stopover at Banka.

According to railway sources, the itinerary of the special train is not final and it would be finalized by Sunday as the mela begins from Tuesday. Sources said that railways are making arrangements for stoppage of majority of the trains running on Sahebganj-Bhagalpur-Jamalpur railway section at Sultanganj.
