Patna : Congress President Rahul Gandhi on May 16, 2019, staged roadshow at Patna to mobilise support for party’s Patna Sahib candidate and sitting MP Shatrughna Sinha, a former Union Minister who joined Congress after being denied ticket by the BJP this year.
Rahul’s roadshow started from near Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Patna, and after passing through Premchand and Dinkar roundabouts concluded on Nala Road. Congress supporters showered flowers on Rahul Gandhi, who shook hands with many of them. A large number of people stood on roadside to greet the Congress President.
Congress nominee Shatrughna Sinha is facing BJP nominee and Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Pat Sahib parliamentary constituency.Prasad is a Rajya Sabha Member. The Patna Sahib constiturency will go to polls on May 19, 2019.
