R-day celebrated with enthusiasm in Bhojpur

Ara : The 68^th Republic day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bhojpur district. The national flag was unfurled by almost all the educational institutions, government offices, NGOs, Red Cross, Youth Hostel of India, IMA and other social organizations.

The main function was organized at historical Ramana Maidan where Bijay Prakash, minister, labour resources department and minister-incharge, Bhojpur district, hoisted the tri-colour. Paying tributes to the freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of their motherland, he highlighted the achievements of the government and the district administration. He also congratulated people of the district for their overwhelming support to the Human Chain made on January 21, 2017, in favour of liquor ban. He also apprised the people of the schemes and policies of the government.

At least one dozen tableaux were taken out by several government and non-government organizations highlighting the social problems and achievements. A colourful cultural programme and football match were also organized to mark the occasion.
