Pvt school teachers in Bikramganj unable to register for D.EL.ED

Sasaram : With onnly three days left, teachers of private schools under Bikramganj Sub-division of Rohtas district may be deprived of the facility of getting themselves registered for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) due to dill dallying attitude of the Education Department and the District Programme Officer (DPO). The state government, it may be recalled, has decided to provide NIOS D.EL.ED online training to untrained teachers of government and private schools.

The Education Department has not provided U Dias Code to most of the private schools forcing the teachers and the owners of the schools are making rounds the office. Even the schools that got the U Dias Code are also helpless as the U Dias Code is not displayed on the wedsite. The Private School Welfare Association, which claims to champion the cause of the teachers of the private school, has remained silent on the matter so far. Principal, Gurukul, Ravishankar Singh, said that the present U Dias Code is useless.

The Education Department has fixed September 15, 2017, for the registration of the teachers of private schools for Diploma in Elementary Education but it has not issued U Dias Code to majority of such schools till date. The government has given recognition to only 85 of 280 private schools under different blocks under Bikramganj Sub-Division in Rohtas district.

Sanjy Kumar, Director, Bihar Education Project, had  directed all the District Education Officers (DEOs) to issue U Dias Code to all the private schools at the earliest after the government made it mandatory for the private schools to recruit only trained teachers. DEO, Rohtas, Sayeed Ansari said that U Dias Code have been issued to the owners of the Private Schools who applied for the same till now. When he was informed  that the U Dias Code is not seen on the website, the DEO asked the teachers to fill their registration online without U Dias Code.
