Sitamarhi : Managar of a private road construction company Laxman Prasad was shot dead on Monday at his work place near Kundawa ghat on Dheng—Sitamarhi road in Sitamarhi district by three motorcycle borne criminals. Prasad died on the spot.
Two dozen labourers, who were engaged in construction works fled from the place to save their lives. Laxman Prasad received six bullets injuries. According to labourers, the criminals had demanded extortion money from the manager earlier but the contractor refused to pay them. The Majorganj police reached the spot and sent the body to hospital at Sitamarhi. Laxaman Prasad is native of Patna.
